Lapad Run Dubrovnik 2026

The sixth Lapad Run was held in Dubrovnik on Saturday, 26 September 2026, with 5 km and 10 km routes around Lapad for runners and walkers.

Organised by Du Motion with the Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the event also promoted breast cancer prevention and early detection. The race started and finished at the beach plateau in Lapad Bay.

Lapad Run 2026

Registration for the 2026 race filled in less than two days. The event later drew 186 runners and recreational participants, including visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Marin Desnica won the men's 10K in 37:34, while Martina Tomić was the fastest woman over 10 km in 48:25. Dario Milin won the men's 5K in 18:52 and Maja Ambulija took the women's 5K in 22:24.

The race again promoted breast cancer awareness and early detection, with part of the registration income going to the Dubrovnik Cancer League.

What is the Lapad Run?

Lapad Run is organised by Du Motion in cooperation with the Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It is held around the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is open to experienced runners, recreational runners and walkers.

You can run or walk either distance. The 5K uses one lap of the course, while the 10K covers two laps.

The event also raises money for the Dubrovnik Cancer League. In 2026, €5 from each €30 entry fee was donated.

5K or 10K

The course is based on a 5 km lap around the Lapad area.

• 5K: one lap, minimum age 10.
• 10K: two laps, minimum age 16.
• Running or walking: both are allowed.
• Time limit: 1 hour 30 minutes.

2026 registration and race package

Entry for the 2026 Lapad Run cost €30 and registration was capped at 150 places. Those places were taken in less than two days.

The race package included the official Lapad Run T-shirt, participant medal and refreshment.

Where does the Lapad Run start?

The start and finish are at the beach plateau in Lapad Bay, several kilometres from Dubrovnik Old Town.

Why Lapad Run supports breast cancer prevention

Lapad Run takes place around the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Du Motion and the Public Health Institute use the event to encourage preventive check-ups, early detection and greater awareness of breast cancer.

Part of the entry fee also supports the Dubrovnik Cancer League, giving the event a fundraising role alongside the race itself.

Future Lapad Run editions

A 2027 date has not yet been announced. Du Motion will publish the next edition on the official Lapad Run page.
