Lopud is probably the most popular island of the three Elaphite Islands, upon arrival many visitors cross the island to the other side to visit beach Šunj, the largest sand beach in Dubrovnik. A pleasant 25 minute walk will take you across. If traveling with small children or for persons having walking difficulties there is a small electrical car (golf cart taxi) that will take you to Šunj beach, the price is ca 3 Euro. The car is located next to the harbour upon arrival in Lopud.

Ice cream lover be aware ! Upon arriving in Lopud the first pastry called "Palma" has amazing homemade ice cream. Together with a cup of cafe in one of the nearby cafes it will make for the perfect start of your island visit.
