Visit Mljet Island National Park with Nona Ana high-speed passenger line. It sails from Dubrovnik to the island of Mljet and, during high season, continues to Korčula and Lastovo. This trip is well worth doing, and Nona Ana is about the only boat sailing to Mljet Island with schedules that let you return to Dubrovnik on the same day.

Follow this link: http://www.dubrovnik-festival.hr/

At the top right corner there is the option to switch to English language.

Tickets can be bought online but for 2012. the programme has not yet been published as far as I know. There is a link on the web site of Dubrovnik Summer Festival for online booking of tickets (pointing to http://www.ulaznice.com.hr) and that page is also available in English language.

If you are already in Dubrovnik one place that sells tickets id located in Gruž Port and called Dubrovnik Travel Corner, http://www.dubrovnik-travelcorner.com/home/location-in-dubrovnik

One option is to join one of the regular tours that leave from Dubrovnik to Međugorje.

More information about the excursions from Dubrovnik to Međugorje for season 2014 will be available soon.

Some tourists, especially small and medium sized groups, also choose to arrange a private tour. The price in most cases is just slightly higher than the regular excursion, but enables you to travel in your own peace and decide the itinerary by yourself. If you need help arranging a private tour please contact us at: info@dubrovnik-online.net
The most important connection for Mljet island if travelling by car is the car ferry connecting the small port Prapratno on Pelješac peninsula with port Sobra on Island Mljet. Ferry deartures are several times per day in winter, even more often during summer.

Prapratno - Mljet Island Car Ferry timetable 2012. : http://www.dubrovnik-online.net/english/prapratno_island_mljet_sobra_ferry.php

If you are in Dubrovnik and plan to visit Island Mljet and the National Park you should take the high-speed line boat Nona Ana. During summer this line includes Korčula and Island Lastovo as well. If you have time both destinations are definitely worth a visit.

A visit to the Elafiti (or Elaphiti) islands must be on your list of things to do while in Dubrovnik.

Timetable for 2012. is updated: http://www.dubrovnik-online.net/english/dubrovnik_ferry_elaphite_islands.php

The regular Jadrolinija schedule make it impossible to visit Koločep, Lopud and Šipan on the same day. To see all three of the most popular  Elaphiti Islands you should consider taking an Elaphiti Islands Cruise (also called 3 islands cruise) from Dubrovnik.

Hi Mandy,

That is a great way to do some island hopping, it is possible to join a tour from Dubrovnik to Split, visiting Islands Mljet, Korčula Šipan, Brač and Hvar on the way.

There is one company who does this type of reservations (you can even book this type of service if you already are in Dubrovnik),
for more information please contact: info@dubrovnik-travelcorner.com

For those that already arrived in Dubrovnik you can just drop by at the Dubrovnik Travel Corner office, and see if there are any places left on some of the small ship cruises.

Happy island hopping...

I heard somewhere that it is possible to join an already started cruise if there are empty cabins left available on board. It sounds as a good option for island hopping if we don't have enough time for the 7 day options. Do you have any further information regarding these type of tours?
It would be great to reach Split in a couple of days without getting lost in the ferry schedule, at the same time being able to explore some of the magnificent islands on the way  ???

Hi! It is nice to see that the forum is active again, so here's my question.

We are arriving to Dubrovnik in mid April and wonder which excursions are usually available in that period? Our friends recommended the private 3 island cruise arranged by Dubrovnik Online http://www.dubrovnik-online.net/english/fish_picnic.php but it depends on the weather, right?
What are the alternatives ?

Thank you!
