My partner and I are planning to visit Dubrovnik this summer and July looks like the only time we can do it. I've found a room in the Old Town for 40 Euros. Should I book this or wait until we get there to find something? I've heard it's easy to get private rooms when you get there but is this true even during the festival in July? (I live in Edinburgh and believe me, you wouldn't want to turn up here in August with no accommodation!!!)

My advice is that you book the room before you arrive. Aldo it is true that you sometimes can find something when you arrive, the location and quality of such accommodations is ussualy much lower. 40 Euro sounds like a good price to me...
