Buying in Croatia

Hi,
We are hoping to buy a property in Croatia, and have been looking at several websites, some are selling homes/apartments for as little as £1000, and some plots of land for even less ! For those of you that have purchased in Croatia is it better to actually got there and can the websites be trusted. Can anyone tell us the process and expense involved in buying property here.

No matther how you find your property, you will eventualy have to come to Croatia in order to inspect the property and seal the deal. As for the price of £1000 for buying an apartment, it simply MUST be a typo.
