Is it better staying there than in the old city, eg at the Pucic Palace?

Also, can one drive into the old city?

Villa Dubrovnik has just recently being woted as one of the top hotels in Europe. It is probably better that Pucic Palace regarding service and especialy because of the magnificent view on the Old Town Dubrovnik.
Driving inside Old Town Dubrovnik is not allowed.
